i heard “people don’t read anymore,” and honestly i heard “people don’t read anymore,” and honestly i get it…? (hear me out!)

reading can be scary, and the idea of being a *real reader* was always placed on a pedestal in my mind. sure, i read books but i wouldn’t consider myself a “real” reader. i didn’t read ENOUGH books and didn’t read BIG books. so if someone who literally has a book club (aka me) doesn’t feel like a reader, then how can others, who rarely read, get into it without feeling judgement or intimidation?

my secret? reading in different formats – such as ebooks and audiobooks! i’m very grateful to @kobobooks for creating my favorite ereaders (like the Kobo Libra Colour) and for Kobo Plus, their all-you-can-read subscription. i can easily switch between physical books i own and ebooks/audiobooks without worrying about library hold times or having to buy an ebook copy. 😌

“i can’t believe you still use film. you can use a “i can’t believe you still use film. you can use an app or filter if you want that look.” it’s not the same! and it’s not really about the result, even though here is a side by side comparison of some photos i took on both iphone and film.

no editing on my end for all the photos.

NOODLES!

or what else should i eat today?

i spend so much time worrying about

awkward interactions and embarrassing things i said

or what i should do today, tomorrow, my entire life and if it will go according to plan

but these wise words from kung fu panda…

*inhale*

*exhale*

let this sink in.

and remind yourself

what a gift it is to enjoy the now. 🎁
