This post was great! I read Since You’ve Been Gone last year and to be honest I can’t remember much about it except that I loved it so I’m definitely going to be back for a reread. And I’m so glad to see Simon VS on this list! I adored that book and I couldn’t wipe the smile off my face for HOURS after finishing.

YES TO ALL OF THESE. Winter was the perfect ending to the Lunar Chronicles trilogy – it wrapped everything up so wonderfully. And Six of Crows is incredible. The characters and the action scenes were amazing. Thanks for sharing and, as always, fabulous post! ♥

i loved this post xan! so cute! i really adored the cover for the winner’s curse as well (although wasn’t too keen on the sequel covers, although i appreciated the fact they stuck to the theme!). since you’ve been gone is such a great standalone and OMG CAN YOU BELIEVE I STILL HAVEN’T READ QUEEN OF SHADOWS YET? i am literally going to force myself to sit down with it once winter break starts next week (YAY!!!!) because that is just unacceptable. hope you have a great holiday season! lots of love xo xo

Lovely post, Xan! I’m going to do one of these wrap up year posts but I hate having to make choices because ALL the books I read are awesome (with some quite notable exceptions) I also don’t have goodreads open this year, but if I exclude rereads… I LOVED so many books this year, including Carry On, Out of the Easy, Winter (obviously), The Raven Boys and the Wrath and theDawn. Thanks for sharing your favourites–your list was awesome!

I seriously need to start the ‘mistborn’ series. I heard so many great things about it. I had a similar experience with your ‘throne of glass.’ ‘The queen of the tearling’ was mediocre for me, but the second book was phenomenal! I’m glad you mentioned ‘the wrath and the dawn’ being difficult and different. That’s what I felt and stopped reading it, so I should give it another go! Book cover changes are so annoying. Sometimes they are for the good, but most should not happen. I feel the same way about Jenny Han’s books. There is something there that just tugs at you to love them. I’m currently reading Six of Crows, so by your rave I’m super excited to finish! ;D It was a great reading year. Hope you have another good reading experience come 2016! ☺
