farewell, august
august is over (?!!!!!) and we are no yes ready for autumn. i feel weirdly thrown off because i was either a) traveling or b) trying to recover from traveling. so much traveling!!! i forget how tiring it could be. honestly, i miss my routine of working out, editing/writing/working, taking ballet class, and things i normally do. but i realize that’s a very privileged thing to say considering i was on vacation and “living my life.” but still.
the first week of the month was spent traveling with my family (and there was so much food). after we came back, i went to universal studios and (more importantly) harry potter world with some friends!! got myself an annual pass, so i’m hoping to visit again in the next few months. i tried butterbeer for the first time, and it was honestly pretty disgusting. oof.
before i got back to normal schedule for ballet, i also got to hang out with some of my oldest and most wonderful friends. :’) we had a picnic (echm in-n-out takeaway on a picnic blanket) and got attacked by a beetle. FUN. the next couple of days were consumed with *trying very hard* to get back to the swing of things and kinda failing but it’s okay.
then, i went to las vegas (again) with my mom for a conference. i was mostly there to help her out and it was another mini-vacation-but-not-really. more food! when i came back, i met shirley from @classifiedcloset at the amanda rach lee meet-up! it was at bopomofo cafe and it’s become one of my favorite boba places. great service and food!!
before the month ended, i also took a soulcycle class with zelle of @fragilemyths and got to catch up over some yummy salads. <333 and FINALLY (because it seems like this month was non-stop), i’m in new york city for the remainder of august to help my sister with her dessert shop, DOMI, at smorgasburg!!! i’m honestly so hyped and proud; i remember her saying she wanted to have a booth there a year ago and here we are. :”)
butterbeer !! our picnic from adventures with my sister in san fran with @classifiedcloset with @fragilemyths en route to new york

is it sad that i don’t remember the last book i read? i avoided going on goodreads and it took me a solid ten minutes to remember. CLEARLY, i was not actively reading this past month. aside from my latest obsession of the new york times. yes, i know LAME. i haven’t been reading books, but headlines of the NYT and feeling slightly more connected to the world around us. i was also listening the times’ podcast the daily and feeling a little sad about the world we live in.

as for music, i have been LISTENING TO LOVER ON REPEAT SINCE ITS RELEASE. the thing is, i wasn’t that excited for it. i didn’t like reputation very much and thought i was “over” my love for taylor swift. but this album!!!!! has proved me wrong!!!!! i have so many favorites: cruel summer, the archer, cornelia street, daylight, and so so so many more. i even made THIS THING, which i am very proud of. (i know virgo is not italicized but i can’t be bothered to take a screenshot again pls don’t attack me during virgo season.)
foresights of september
reading/writing that it’s already september literally made my breath hitch. as happy as i am for autumn/winter’s approach, the changing of seasons causes S T R E S S. time to overthink the future and life and everything that’s involved !!!!!! (we hate this) (it’s fine)
okok but in reality, i will likely be fine. rather than sharing plans, here are are some goals or things i hope to accomplish in the next month:
- get caught up in my content (i have plans!!)
- continue to train consistently
- fix my sleeping schedule (it’s wack again)
- make & stick to a morning/wind down routine
- drink more water
