farewell, october!
and just like that, another month is over. so much has happened in the past month, it’s simultaneously felt infinitely long and gone in a blink. i’m sad october is finished, but excited for november to begin! we’ll be having our annual ballet performance in november; this year, we’re doing ‘the nutcracker.’ hopefully, it’ll be colder since winter is coming! in los angeles, the weather hardly changes but i love autumn because it’s usually 70°F to 60°F. october’s been upsettingly hot.
books i finished:
- crown of midnight; sarah j. mass (goodreads link)
- the young elites; marie lu
- the fifth wave; rick yancey
- the blood olympus; rick riordan
total tally: four
on replay:
recently, i’ve been listening to fiction by b2st (aka beast). my friends have been desperately trying to get me into k-pop (korean pop music) and i’m begrudgingly making my way through. i’ve been listening to mixes like this to help me get into it, and in all honesty, i actually like it. personally, i still prefer to listen to instrumental songs while working on school so i’ve been going to this and this.
i know taylor swift’s 1989 album recently came out, but i (still) haven’t gotten a chance to listen to it. i ordered it online the day it came out and apparently, it’s not coming until next week. (curse regular shipping. i want my two-day-shipping from amazon prime.) i guess that’s what i get for ordering the deluxe version from target. no regrets, tho. i’ll definitely be listening to lots of t.swift next month!
quote of the month:
“i’m so glad i live in a world where there are octobers.”
– l.m. montgomery, anne of green gables
foresights of november
our performance is this month and rehearsals are insanely hectic. i probably won’t have much time to read because november is one of the busiest months of the year in terms of ballet. but knowing me, i’ll stay up super late reading anyway.
goals for this month:
- sleep/wake up earlier (aka don’t stay up until 3am finishing a book and end up waking up at noon)
- finish more school work/drivers ed
- blog more: reviews/features/etc.
- finish reading in the afterlight, the retribution of mara dyer, and blue lily, lily blue !
currently reading: in the afterlight; alexandra bracken
what are your goals for this upcoming month? what did you accomplished in the past month? let me know in the comments!
xoxo,
alexandra
