FINALLY FRIDAY: 05.15.15

this is a feature on twirling pages in which xandra praises the day because it’s finally friday!! i suppose it’s a weekly recap, but i’m not entirely sure what this’ll end up being.

confession: i’m actually not all that excited it’s friday. well, kinda, but not that excited. buuuuut it’s nearly 15.15.15!! except.. there are only twelve months of the year, and it’s actually 05.15.15. anyway, moving onto this week’s run down…

on the blog:

  • i shared what i received in the mail: frends headphones & a rainbow keyboard!
  • i discussed the cover release of THE WINNER’S KISS by marie rutkoski.
  • i shared my top ten authors i REALLY want to meet.
  • i discussed the diversity in pop culture and more!

    • in the real world:

  • THE WINNER’S KISS cover was revealed! i had a blog post about it as well.
  • there was some blogging drama on twitter. worth noting.

  • bout of books happened. i didn’t do it. WHOOP DE WHOOP.
  • the wrath and the dawm, end of days, and the fangirl’s guide to the galaxy was released.
  • nepal was hit with yet ANOTHER earthquake?!?
  • there was also a malaysia airlines wreckage…
  • ABT (american ballet theatre) had their 75th anniversary opening night of the season!

    in my life:

  • so last friday i mentioned that i was going to take the permit exam. today, i’m here to tell you that i PASSED! i haven’t taken any driving lessons yet, so i still can’t drive, but I PASSED!!!
  • mother’s day was on sunday! i celebrated with my parents and grandma. we ate korean bbq. it was DELICIOUS.
  • i began watching dream high because i’m so incredibly lame like that. (yes, i started another korean drama instead of doing schoolwork. ALL THE SHAME.)
  • i’m going to be competing at showstopper dance competition later this month and the schedule finally come out! i’ll (hopefully) be blogging about it, so stay tuned~!

      ha look at me missing out on all the drama again. although i can’t say i’m disappointed because drama always gets me feeling so down. maybe it’s ignorant of me to pretend that people aren’t mean but that’s how i prefer to go about social media so when there’s any drama, i usually just kinda tell myself to move along just because it’s always so toxic to spend time being angry about stuff like that.

      also i love how you include news that’s not bloggy or bookish because while i knew nepal had another earthquake (which is so tragic and heartbreaking), i had no idea there was another malaysia airlines crash which, while also tragic and heartbreaking, also raises some eyebrows because three is definitely too much to be shrugged off as a coincidence… or that’s what i think at least? like what are the odds?

      also congrats on passing!!! and mmm korean bbq. kinda in the mood for that now.

      Congrats on getting your permit!! WOOT WOOT! And ermagerd, I’m just drooling over the beautifulness of that photo. :’) I want to read the Wrath and the Dawn so so bad, because the original story was one of my FAVOURITES growing up. SERIOUSLY. So excited! ^-^
      Aaand, I did not see that twitter drama so, like the nosey thing I am, I’m off to check it out. 😉
