‘top ten tuesday’ is a meme/feature created by the fabulous the broke and the bookish! this weeks topic: top ten series i want to start. let’s begin!
- harry potter; j.k. rowling
*ducks head in shame* before you start yelling profanity and closing the tab, please hear me out. i actually did finish the first three books of this series, so technically it shouldn’t be on the list because it’s series i want to start. i made an exception because this is a series i want to finish. i read the first three books around five or so years ago and never had a chance to finish. (yeah, right. “never had a chance”)
- outlander; diana gabaldon
i’ve heard sasha rave about this for a while now, and i really want to start it.
- game of thrones; george r.r. martin
self-explanatory. everyone needs to read this.
- miss peregrine’s home for peculiar children; ransom riggs
i’ve had a copy of this book for nearly a year and still haven’t gotten to read it yet.
- under the never sky; veronica rossi
- the heir chronicles; cinda williams chima
- the inheritance cycle; christopher paolini
- rebel belle; rachel hawkins
- graceling; kristin cashore
- obernewtyn chronicles; isobelle carmody
..and my tbr list is really piling up. i want to start all of these incredible books as soon as i can!

Graceling (and Fire and Bitterblue) is a fascinating world with some strong, interesting characters. I quite enjoyed reading it.
No matter how many people love GoT, I don’t think I’ll ever read it. I don’t like it when characters are killed, and I hear George R. R. Martin is really good at that.
thanks for letting me know! i’ll add the graceling series to the top of my tbr pile. as for GoT, i want to give it a chance. i know many people enjoy the show, but i prefer to read instead of watch. i think i’ll hold off reading it for a while though because i’m still recovering from character deaths from other books. 😛
I just stumbled upon your site through Bloggers Commenting Back, and the first thing that caught my eye was all the pretty photography. Did you take all these pictures yourself? If so, you have a talent for finding the perfect lighting. 🙂
As for the books, YES, you must finish the Harry Potter series! Hurry and get caught up! Miss Peregrine’s Home for Peculiar Children is fantastic as well – it’s so creepy and atmospheric, and you’ll fall right into its inventive world. I highly recommend having the second one on hand to pick up right after you finish the first, as you won’t want to read anything else. I am in desperate need of book three.
thanks! yes, i do take all my own bookish pictures. i find natural lighting to be the best lighting available 🙂 i’ll try to read harry potter and mrs. peregrine’s home for peculiar children as soon as i can! it’s a good thing i have all those books on my bookshelf already. 😛
Harry Potter is really good! Also Miss Peregrines! Thanks for commenting on my blog! I just want to say that your design is super amazing! Hands down. Also, your photos are the best!
