hi! i’m alexandra ling – but most people call me xandra or xan (pronounced zan-drah or zan). my nineteen-year-old self is currently residing in the suburbs of los angeles, california, but my heart dreams of new york city. as an avid dreamer, one of my biggest dreams is to become a professional ballet dancer. in my attempts to escape the rigorous training and stressful competition, i read stories on people saving the world. (my struggles seem so small in comparison!) these words on pages allow me to escape reality and remind myself i’m not alone. when i’m not twirling on toes or twirling pages, you can find me working on Twirling Pages (SEE WHAT I DID THERE). okay, when i’m not twirling anything, i’m probably eating plants or learning things.
hiii! i’m madeline huh – i’m a queer, sixteen-year-old intj living in the beautiful state of New Hampshire (LIVE FREE OR DIE) for boarding school, but i’m originally from Alabama. i spend nearly all my time either reading, running cross country & track, or blogging. in addition to blogging here on Twirling Pages, i also have my own blog, Reverie Pages where i talk about books and my
exciting life. i love learning about the classics & biology, and i also love writing. v.e. schwab, donna tartt, and alice oseman are some of my very favorite authors whom i worship because they are amAZING.
hi! i’m priscilla kong, seventeen-year-old reader, writer, and (very) amateur photographer. i’ve lived in california (bay area!) my entire life, but i’m hoping to live in nyc one day – maybe for college! i love young adult books SO much, especially fantasy and romance, which happens to overlap with the genres i write. i write mostly short stories, the occasional poem, and i’m also
struggling with working on a novel. when i’m not reading or writing (which i honestly don’t do as much as i should), i’m either hanging out with my friends, sleeping, and/or eating. or maybe doing homework (aka procrastinating) and/or crying? also, i’m possibly the most emotional person you’ll ever meet.
hey! i’m haley chung – sixteen year old aspiring writer and full-time kitten owner from the western coast of canada. currently, i’m working on a manuscript about sinophone teens learning to love their own culture and a short story about angry girlhood against pink skies. i also harbor a major soft spot for young adult fiction and confessional pieces, although i’ll read anything with a good cliche. aside from spending time with paper and words, you can find me jamming to lorde, laughing in the grass, or passing hazy nights contemplating rom coms.
haaaaaay! i’m kaitlin dang – i am a fifteen year old living in the bay area (WEST COAST: THE BEST COAST), where i spend my days going to school, reading, and staying up too late. i love traveling and exploring new places and love photographing those places even more. i also love food as much as i do books and hope one day i can live in nyc (where i can try new food and photograph new places every day if i wanted to). besides contributing to this blog, and eating, and binge watching chinese dramas, i also have my own blog called next page please! where i talk about books and many other aspects of my life. i live by sarcasm and vscocam.
helllllllllo! i’m chelsea parker, a queer sixteen-year-old aspiring novelist and editor, full-time student, and avid dreamer from western canada. i’m working on a novel about a team of space pirates ft. some wlw romance as well as constantly adding to my tbr list. all though i live in canada, my heart belongs on the east coast, and despite this fact, i am planning on going to college in ohio. i have a secret obsession with nancy and drew and when i am not reading or writing i am probably ignoring my evergrowing pile of homework and playing sims or taking a nap with my cat. at the end of the day, reading is one of the things i truly love and i’m excited to share that at twirling pages!
